The dinner conversation and the ambience matched the food
as did special bottles of selected vintages of Samuel's Gorge wines. Then
came serious coffee from
the big espresso machine on the cellar door 'bar'.

There's the origin of what look like bullet holes in
the wall, it comes
minus a long conversation about fishing along the
Fleurieu coast, gossip about local identities, but
it does finish, like many wine maker dinners with a
discussion about Robert Parker and 'Parker points".
But that's a typical conversation of
almost any wine region.
