While in our print edition the Harvest section has short producer stories, online this is where some of the many press releases we get, end up, and where short reviews of new products, produce and books appear.


Hahndorf – SA. 
The Beerenberg people have deluged us with samples of their jams, marmalades, chutneys, sauces and marinades, pickles, dressings and olive oil. I’m a fan of their strawberry jam – the product that got them started in 1971. More>  

Inverell – NSW.
The agrumato process (from the Italian agrúmi – citrus fruit) involves crushing olives with fresh citrus, infusing the oil with the distinctive flavours of lemon, orange, tangerine or lime. Gwydir Grove has produced Blood Orange and Lime oils, by the traditional method originating in Italy’s Abruzzo region. More>

We’ve been breakfasting on Aberdeen sausage, from Nolan’s Butchery in the Victorian high country. And very fine it is, as you’d expect from a crew who have four times been proclaimed Australian Sausage Kings and recently carried off the coveted Victorian Ham of the Year award. More>
