We chose King Island for our first issue because we figured it was small, self
contained and therefore undeniably a unique 'region'. And it had produce that was available
on the mainland so everyone could try it. I'm sure you've all tasted King Island cheese and
we figured you would like to know more about that and the
other quality island produce.

our 'electric' version

The region around Canberra is much older than the nation's Capital. There
are still large grazing properties, and the villages
act as 'dormitory suburbs' for Canberra. There are open spaces, room for a garden or a
horse, and everyone knows that at the end of a
long day in the public service, you're looking to dine out locally.
That has given the regional villages a strong food and wine
focus other cities would envy.
