The Barilla Celebrity Pasta Lovers' Cookbook

The fact that this is sponsored by Barilla Australia and
supports an Australian charity, just sneaks it under the
'Hey that's not a regional Australian product' barrier. If
this
ends up sounding a bit like an email chain letter forgive me.
You will however like these 15 pasta recipes from people
of varying level of celebrity and cooking reputation. The
collection is nicely designed and well photographed (the
food at least, some of the celebrity photos are a bit naff,
like Carla Zampatti's ... eeek!) You can save the Adobe
PDF and lose it in your personal PC folders and/or print it for
the kitchen recipe scrabook and hopefully not lose it there.
For very
pdf copy you download, Barilla will donate $1 to the Children's Food
Education Foundation. I hadn't heard about the
Foundation before this press release, but will try and catch
them at Tasting
Australia 07 where they're hosting children's cooking
classes at the Feast of the Senses events.

The release says "donations
from the Barilla Celebrity Pasta Lovers’ Cookbook will go
towards the development of a series of food education
resources titled "Feed Yourself Italian", providing children
an opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge about the
food they eat and the benefits of healthy food choices on
health and wellbeing."
The celebrities - Paolo Barilla, Carla Zampatti, Danny Raco, Darren Simpson,
Delta Goodrem, Fiona O’loughlin, Giovanni Pilu, Guy Grossi,
Joanna Savill, John Aloisi, Lyndey Milan, Mark Bresciano, Vince
Grella, Tobie Puttock, Mirko Grillini.
That's a few chefs, cookery writers, some footballers, a
comedienne and the Vice Chairman of Barilla himself (an ex
Formula 1 race driver which is as authentically Italian as
it comes). If we have to pick one, let's make it our
favourite Joanna Savill, whose pasta e fagioli is
shown on the example page opposite.
Go
on, do that now and then send the
cookbook download link to a foodie friend or two.
The Foundation are
looking for members, and you might like to offer a
recipe or comment on their
blog,
(which has only one entry so far dated 21 May).
