Thanks to all of you who took the trouble to enter our first issue competitions, and the subscribers who were in the running for the terrific Gourmet Safari. When all these names were drawn, we really got the feeling that this was a national magazine.

Some of you went to amazing lengths to catch our eye and we feel very special that you would take so much trouble. One of the problems with '3D' items is that they don't always get here in great condition. And they don't get to sit in the same box as the paper entries so they're not always 'judged' together (if it's a 'creative' competition). Worse is when they become separated from your addresses.

That's Nikki's cartoon above!

This savoury biscuit with feet and its own cheese, came a bit broken but we liked it so much we patched it up! I wondered if its maker "Ms. M. Perry" from Bacchus Marsh VIC,  is a relative of the Mrs Perry in our King Island jam story? She said...
King Island Cheese!
How good does it look?
Perfection on a cracker
That's all it took.
